JOIN OR DIE
Welcome Home, here you’ll find creative interpretations of classic American dishes, inventive house-made ingredients, and inspired drinks. You should definitely join, not do the other thing.
Join or Die, a little harsh but a storied part of American heritage. It originated as a political cartoon by Benjamin Franklin in 1754 and has since been used as an ongoing symbol for unity. In short, the saying and accompanying cartoon urged the colonies to unite against British rule. We use it to unify dishes, ingredients, and cocktails from all over the continent. Don’t tell Ben.
Our recipes and cocktail concoctions are inspired from cities we like, bartenders we’ve met, and places we’ve been kicked out of. We also have root beer on tap, small batch craft brews, spiked slushies, and everything we’ve added since writing this blurb. Our bar menu is ever changing because well, seasons change and we get bored.
We dig design. And not in the pretentious Ikea way either. It’s at the core of everything we do, from the booths to the bar stools, from the light fixtures to the open concept kitchen. We’ve worked through every inch and feature of Home of the Brave to create a place where design lovers, art appreciators, and fried chicken enthusiasts can roam free.
Home of the Brave came from our love of American culture and hearty home cooking. Inspired by famous state recipes and ingredients, our portions are big, our drinks are stiff, and our doors are always open.
